As political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, Ph.D., has declared that only the All Progressives Congress (APC) possesses a track record of visible achievements and tangible policy results to approach the electorate with during campaigns.

Inaugurating a political pressure group, the Ekwueme Political Movement (EPM), at the APC Secretariat, Boji Boji Owa, Ika North-East Local Government Area of Delta State on Sunday, Deputy Governor Onyeme emphasized that governance under the APC banner, both at the national level and in Delta State, has delivered verifiable dividends of democracy that set the party apart from opposition groups.
According to him, the transformative leadership driven by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the centre and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in Delta State through the expanded M.O.R.E. Agenda has produced impactful projects in key sectors such as infrastructure, local government autonomy, education, healthcare, and civil service welfare.
”When we step out to campaign for the 2027 general elections, we campaign with what the APC has done and is doing, not like others who have nothing, not even experience of what governance is about.
”President Tinubu took bold steps to reposition Nigeria: he removed the subsidy, is working to check insecurity with the introduction of state police, and is constructing roads that will stand the test of time.
”Only the APC has concrete, trackable, and undeniable milestones to present to the Nigerian people, and we are happy that Nigerians are aware.”
Sir Onyeme highlighted key national progress markers such as local government autonomy, expanded education funding mechanisms, infrastructural expansion, and renewed security interventions as milestones that demonstrate the party’s commitment to national growth.
He noted that opposition parties lack a unified vision or comparable track record to showcase, leaving the APC as the only political platform offering sustained stability, progress, and democratic dividends.
The Deputy Governor called on party leaders, stakeholders, grassroots mobilisers, and the citizens of Delta State to remain resolute in supporting all APC candidates in the forthcoming 2027 polls to ensure the uninterrupted continuation of development across the state and the nation.
”All pressure groups must work for us to win with a wide margin; we need to move from house to house and convince those who are not aware of the progress made by the APC.
”In this election, Delta North should produce the highest number of votes; let us be proud of our candidates; every state and local government can now pay salaries and execute multi-billion naira projects because our President is focused,” he added while commending the initiators of the pressure group for working towards APC victory in the next elections.
The Delta North Senatorial candidate of the APC, Sen. Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, CON, thanked the 78 Ward Chairmen of the APC from Delta North for resolving to embark on a door-to-door campaign for the APC to win massively.
”A politician must continue to look out for others; it is better that we win together and work together; I thank all of you, and I am proud to be a patron of this movement.
”All support and pressure groups must register and work for the party.
”On the day of elections, you send a message to those who are contesting with your voter’s cards; go out to campaign so that our votes can speak loudly.
”My voice cannot be silenced; I am happy that you have resolved to send me back to the Senate; I will remain accessible to you all.”
Some of those who spoke at the event, including Hon. Charles Emetulu, representing Ndokwa West Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, and Hon. Pascal Adigwe, stated that Delta Northerners took the best decision to call on former Governor Okowa to contest for the Senatorial seat.
The founder of the group, Evangelist Moses Kamaya, said that the EPM would work for all the candidates of the APC in the 2027 general elections to emerge victorious.
The Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information in Delta State, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, the Deputy Chief of Staff, Government House, Sir Chris Osakwe, were among those who witnessed the event.
