Bishop Greatman To Be Buried June 14

The remains of former Executive Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Religious Matters, Bishop Greatman Nmalagu would be buried on Saturday, June 15, 2024.

A statement signed by his son, Pastor Prince Nmalagu and Chief Austin Amuchi for the family, disclosed that funeral service would be held at the premises of True God Worshippers Assembly, Obiaruku which will be followed by internment.

Bishop Greatman, born Odia Goddey Greatman Nmalagu on June 11, 1959, was a beacon of faith, compassion, and leadership. He passed away peacefully on May 1, 2024, surrounded by his loving family and close friends.

His life was a testament to unwavering devotion, not only to his faith but also to the family, communities he served and society at larg.

Bishop Greatman’s journey in faith began at an early age. Raised in a devout Christian household of a step mother (Afoma). He felt a calling to serve the Lord during his teenage years. This calling led him to the Theological Seminary, where he graduated with honors and further had a MA Theology, Bsc Edu and Msc Political Science.

His passion for ministry and deep theological understanding earned him a reputation as a promising young leader within the church.

Greatman Nmalagu was ordained as a priest, and his ministry took him to various congregations across the then Bendel State and beyond. His eloquent sermons, compassionate counsel, and tireless community work quickly distinguished him as a beloved pastor. He had a unique gift for connecting with people from all walks of life, offering solace, guidance, and inspiration.

In 2009, he was consecrated as the First ever Bishop in Ukwuani and Ndokwa, both of Delta state Nigeria, a role in which he truly flourished. As Bishop, Greatman founded and oversaw the commission- True God Worshippers Assembly that spanned severally, and under his leadership it grew both in numbers and in spirit with divers great exploits erupted by God the Almighty through him.
He is the proprietor of St Gokate Schools (Nursery, primary and secondary) obiaruku.

He championed numerous initiatives aimed at helping the less fortunate, including food drives, shelters for the homeless, and educational programs for underprivileged youth and politics. He was the President of Concerned Gospel Ministers For Development, BOT chairman – Christian Community Platform{CCP}, Association of employable graduates in Nigeria, The president of National Christians for good governance Nigeria. He served as a two time Executive Assistant to the governor of Delta state on religious matters 2015-2023.

His work extended beyond the church as he collaborated with civic leaders to address social issues and promote justice and equality.
Bishop Greatman was also a scholar and an author. He wrote several books on theology and pastoral care that includes:
* The triumphant child (novel)
* Guides to master and pass English
* Practical guide on prayer and fasting,
* Trials of faith
* Remedies of life
* Right and effective means to answer, identify and develop God’s callings and gifts- with church breakaway remedies { The book of destiny fulfilment)
* Practical guide on Ministries for healthy and growing church.
* Only fools for Christ’s sake will make heaven.
* The power of prayers and good governance for successful government ( A case studies of Governor Okowa’s administration)
* Comprehensive manuals for Sunday school, Bible studies and fellowship; 2017, 2018, 2019/2020 editions.
Which are still used in seminaries, by clergy worldwide and the civil.

His writings reflect his deep faith, intellectual rigor, and profound understanding of human nature.Throughout his life, Bishop Greatman was supported by his beloved wife, Ifeoma, whom he married in his early youthful age. Their partnership was a source of strength and inspiration to many. Together, they raised five children: Prince, Zion, Jephthah, Phebe and Ruth, who continue to honor his legacy through their own contributions to their communities.

Bishop Greatman’s legacy is one of love, dedication, and unwavering faith. His life’s work has left an indelible mark on countless lives. His compassion, wisdom, and leadership will be remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Bishop Greatman will be remembered as a Pentecostal faithful, he lived a devoted Christian life. He was humble, social and happy father to all. His business, community and political associates testifies that he lived a life of truth, always accessible to all, ever ready and willing to help. He loved all that was around him and gave all within his power, sacrificing his comfort for the well being for those that desires his hand and if it cross his corridor.

As we gather to celebrate the life of Bishop O.G Greatman Nmalagu, we remember a man whose light shine brightly in the world, guiding many towards paths of righteousness and peace. The consolation by all is that he lived a very fulfilled life. His spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched. Daddy you shall be greatly missed by all of us.

May he rest in eternal peace and glory
