He added that the workshop would improve their job employability, start-up skills and attitudes in line with the mandate of the Bureau in tackling unemployment in the state.

He emphasized that after the workshop series, the participants would be able to take advantage of opportunities that would help them get jobs successfully.

Participants were exposed to topics as, “Post-Graduation Self-Assessment: Understanding Job Market Realities and making Career Choices;” “Communicating Yourself and Cultivating Professional Relations for Job Search and Career Start-Ups;” The Right Mindset, Attitude and Steps for Job Search and Career Planning;” Preparing for Job Market and Becoming More Employable by Self-Improvement,” and “Searching for a Job: Using Virtual Methods and Adapting Your CV to Different Employers presented by Dr. Anthony Chovwen, Prof Vincent Onudugo and Mr. Favour Inyere respectively.

Responding, one of the participants, Dr. Success Ogbe, expressed gratitude to the state government for the opportunity to acquire skills on how to prepare himself for the job market.

“I now know that there is always a way out of every challenge. It has helped me to change my mentality and how to make my CV more effective to speak for me,” he remarked.

For Happiness Eduviere, “I have learnt to equip myself with communication skills and to work on my attitude in order to improve my employability.”
