The Senior Special Assistants on Media to the Governor of Delta State, Comrade Fidelis Egugbo, Ghene Igbogidi, and Rita Agbra, have been inducted as Associate Members of the Nigerian Institute of Social Media Analysts (NISMA).
The induction, which took place on Saturday in Abuja, marks a significant milestone in the professional commitment of Comrades Egugbo, Igbogidi, and Agbra to ethical communication, strategic digital management, and public information dissemination.
The ceremony brought together top digital communication strategists, media analysts, and public relations professionals from across the country.
Speaking on behalf of the inductees from Delta State, Egugbo, a renowned journalist, author, and event organizer, described the induction as a further incentive for their continuous contributions to leveraging digital media as a tool for governance, transparency, and public engagement.
He expressed deep appreciation to the leadership of NISMA for finding them worthy of the professional elevation, assuring that they would uphold the highest standards of analytical rigor, integrity, and responsibility in the digital sphere.
Egugbo seized the occasion to express their profound gratitude to the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, and his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme, Ph.D, for their unwavering support and visionary leadership.

He noted that the skills and insights gained from their affiliation with NISMA will be fully deployed toward supporting the state administration’s developmental agenda, combating fake news, and promoting constructive dialogue between the government and the good people of Delta State.
Egugbo urged young media professionals to prioritize professional ethics, factual reporting, and continuous learning, emphasizing that social media remains a powerful catalyst for socio-economic development when managed responsibly.
Earlier, National Coordinator of NISMA, Dr Chris Eze said, the theme, “The Battle For Influence: Youth, Power and Corporate Responsibility In Nigeria’s Digital Space,” was apt as the digital space should be “a space where knowledge is respected, dialogue is encouraged, diversity is protected and national interest is given a voice.”
He also spoke about National Digital Peace Ambassadors (NDPA), stating that NDPA “is a call to citizens who believe that Nigeria is greater than our differences who understand that what we post, share, support and amplify can either strengthen our nation or weaken it.”
Pastor Kennedy Biennose, a guest of Comrade Egugbo who serves as Special Assistant to the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Barr. Felix Morka, CON, congratulated the inductees from Delta for their commitment to excellence and professionalism. He charged them to deploy the skills garnered to improve their efficiency in the discharge of their responsibilities.
