Adeniyi said, “Mallam Gidado Ibrahim is a man who detests ethnicity and religious differences. He believes in the unity of Nigeria and with his God-given resources and talents he has delivered lectures across the globe on good governance, security and industrialization.”

On his part, Sheikh Jamilu recounted how Mallam Gidado paid students’ rents abroad when they were stranded and had no access to their accommodation.

“You heard it when some of the graduating student said he did assisted them without knowing which state or religious they. He is belongs to the class of great minds and that is why we are making sure he is honoured,” Jamilu stated.

Also, a Christian cleric, Most Rev. Chris Stanley said, “Ibrahim is a man of peace. We really appreciate his efforts towards the unity of our great country. He is a great manager of human and material resources, and his contributions to the growth and development of the media industry in Nigeria in terms of shaping national discourse and debate are remarkable.

In his remarks, the celebrant who thanked Almighty Allah for enabling him mark another birthday said, “We must come out to save our country from the devil’s advocates camouflaging as opposition. I have studied the economic and security policies of the Tinubu/Shetima renewed hope agenda, and I can bet with any Nigerian that they will certainly lead Nigeria to greater heights.

Activities marking the birthday included a peaceful rally by a group operating under the aegis of the National People with Disabilities Awareness Movement, (NAPAM) who cautioned the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) against embarking on its planned protest, saying such would shut down the economy, which would be against the interests of Nigerians.

Speaking at a press conference held at the Unity Fountain in Maitama, Abuja, on Sunday, the national secretary of NAPAM, Dr Samuelson Emehibe, said the economic hardship plaguing the nation was a result of unimplemented economic policies in the past 16 years and shouldn’t be seen as President Bola Tinubu’s fault.
