The Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori on Saturday, attended the 80th birthday anniversary celebration of Chief Engr. Joe Omene.
Deputy Governor Monday Onyeme, Ph D., represented Governor Oborevwori at the event which took place at Mosogar.
Governor Oborevwori at the colorful ceremony, thanked God for the life of the octogenarian.
He also prayed for more years of happiness for the celebrant.
“On behalf of the government, and the good people of Delta State, I wish our leader, a very, very happy birthday.
“We wish you many more years; we pray to the Almighty God that all of us will be alive when you clock 90, and that we will come back and celebrate your 90th birthday, and when you clock 100 years, we will all be here to come and celebrate with you
“We wish you good health and every other thing you wish yourself.
“Once again, happy birthday celebration Sir,” the Governor said.
The highpoint of the ceremony was the cutting of the birthday cake by Chief Omene.
