“Advice them against drug abuse, cultism and criminality, because these are the three major problems among our youths.

“Some people have taken it upon themselves that because they are youths, they tend to take laws into their hands, they block the roads waiting for people/companies to pay certain amount, it is not right, as they will be damaging their future as they will not be able to do anything meaningful with their lives, because you will nor be able to beg all your life.

“Advice our youths to learn trade and whatever trade you are into, follow it up, improve all the time and try to be the best in whatever you are doing, even if you don’t become the best you will be able to make a name for yourself and be somewhere very comfortable and impact in our younger generations.’

Onyeme further added that his achievements in life were tied to his determination to get the best out of whatever assignment or areas he found himself.

“I wanted to be a doctor when I left secondary school but eventually I ended up as an accountant, and I said to myself if I must be there, I will be among the best and I doubled my struggle and it paid off; because I was doing well, that was why I didn’t look for a job for long.

“I finished the National Youth Service Corps, (NYSC) in August and in September I was already working. I have never been unemployed, from one job to another. I try to be the best in what I do, and even on this table that I am sitting, I am still trying to be the best.

“It takes sacrifices and a lot of focus. So educate and advice our youths as you are closer to them,” Onyeme cautioned.

The first prize winner, Mr Dennis Ubulu got the sum of #500,000, the second place winner, Mr Ojinji Silver got three hundred thousand naira while the 3rd place winner, Evangelist Osele Wisdom got two hundred thousand naira.

Ogagaoghene Ogheneyole described the deputy governor, as a father who has contributed meaningfully to the development of youths in the state in several ways.
