APC Chieftain, Okoh Commends Tinubu, Kalu On Establishment Of Tertiary Institutions In Bende

Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress from Abia State, Chief Chidiebere Okoh has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s assent into law, two bills establishing Federal College of Education and Federal University of Medical and Health Sciences in Bende Local Government area of Abia state.

The bills recently signed into law by the President were sponsored by the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, and the member representing Bende Federal constituency, Rt Hon Benjamin Okezie Kalu.

The lawmaker also lobbied for the establishment of Federal University of Okigwe in Imo State for the people of the southeast.

In a statement on Monday, Chief Chidiebere Okoh noted that the tertiary institutions will provide quality education, research opportunities, and cater to the educational needs of the southeast region.

He expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for including Southeast geopolitical zone in his administration’s developmental agenda establishing two tertiary institutions in Abia state.

Okoh further appreciated the leadership of the Nigerian Senate, house of representatives and Nigerians for their profound support to the bill now laws.

While lauding the approval of the establishment of new tertiary institutions in Abia, the party stalwart urged ndigbo to continue supporting the tinubu-led government’s efforts in restoring Nigeria on path of economic prosperity.
