It would be recalled that on Wednesday, Sir Onyeme led the PDP on tour of Wards and communities in Ndokwa West Local Government Area to the people for their unalloyed support for the PDP since 1999.

Speaking at the communities which were visited on Thursday, Umia Abbi, Okwelle Abbi, and Emu Uno, Sir Onyeme observed that he was not surprised that some people who mistakenly left the PDP were returning.

He stated that it is only the PDP that has been consistent as a political party for the masses since 1999, noting that others have eighter changed the logos, names or transformed in whatever way without getting the endorsement of the masses.

He said, “we are here to thank you for consistently believing in our political party, the PDP, the only political party that has provided umbrella cover for Nigerians since 1999.

“For those who are returning, we thank God that you have discovered on time that other political parties are only out to deceive you and the only political party that works for the interests of the people is the PDP.

“Our Governor is doing well in the area of provision of infrastructure and empowering our people to be financially independent.

“The Umia Abbi road, among other roads in this area are being constructed.

“Keep supporting the PDP because by so doing, we are supporting ourselves, our Governor is doing very well for us and the only way to reciprocate what he is doing is by remaining in the PDP, believing in the PDP and supporting Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration in our state,” Sir Onyeme said.

Receiving the returnees, Engr. Ossai disclosed that there is no discrimination in the PDP and everyone is treated equally.

He urged the returnees to remain steadfast with the PDP.

Speaking on behalf of the returnees, Eucharia Ojie said that they were impressed with the performance of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori within less than two years of being in office.

She observed that the APC brought hardship to Nigerians and that the only democratic party in the country by its actions is the PDP.

During the visits, sums of money were doled out to fifty persons at each of the communities visited.
