Former Governorship aspirant in Abia state, Chief James Okereke Mba is set to empower indigent citizens of the state.

This formed part of activities to marking his birthday anniversary which took place on Sunday 22nd June, 2025.

In a terse statement on Sunday, Chief James Okereke Mba, an accomplished international business tycoon said the empowerment program is an annual event aimed at enhancing the welfare of the people in the society.

“Knowing where I came from, my birthday is always a time to reach out to humanity and make positive impact,”he stated.

The frontline Abia chieftain thanked Almighty God for celebrating another year to his age in sound health.

According to him, “My birthday is always a time of reflection.

“It’s a time I use to thank my God for where I am today”.

He used the medium to thank friends, associates, teeming admirers for their display of love and unflinching support to him over the years.

Meanwhile, as a way of supporting you back for the support you’ve given me, the empowerment initiative powered by Chief James Okereke Mba otherwise known as ‘Ihie Abia,’ will be supporting twelve start-ups with the sum of ₦500,000 each

For the next remaining 6 months (July to December) each of the two selected individuals for the month will be supported with the sum of ₦500,000 each.

Two people every month will receive the financial support, and this will continue till December.
