The esteemed First Lady of Cross River State, Bishop Mrs. Eyoanwan Otu, encouraged parents to actively support their children’s participation in the Calabar Children’s Carnival, emphasizing its positive impact on the mental acuity of the participants.

Speaking at the flag-off of this year’s Children’s Carnival dry run on Sunday afternoon in Calabar, Bishop Mrs. Otu emphasized the importance of viewing the event as a platform for children to not only maintain physical fitness but also enhance their mental alertness.

Represented by Prof. Mrs. Esther Okon Archibong, the wife of the chairman of Calabar South Local Government Council, the First Lady highlighted the strategic timing of the carnival, coinciding with the festive season, providing an ideal opportunity for children to engage in enjoyable activities, forge friendships, and create lasting memories with their peers.
