The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, FCA , on Sunday morning lost an aunt, Mrs Mathilda Ojeh (Nee Onyeme) to the cold hands of death.
As the Ofashi (second oldest woman) of Ibabu Community in Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta State, her remains have been laid to rest.
Sir Onyeme who rushed to Ibabu from Asaba on hearing about the passing on of his aunt stated that it was a personal loss to him.
He said, “I am grateful to God because mama lived a fulfilled life and we can only pray to the Almighty God to grant her soul eternal rest.”
Mrs Ojeh died after a brief illness.
She was a strong pillar of the family, community leader, loving mother and a devout Christian who would be missed by all those whose lives she affected in many positive ways.
