The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, Ph.D, on Wednesday, paid a condolence visit to the member representing Ukwuani Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Chukwudi Dafe, following the transition of his wife, Mrs. Isioma Dafe, who passed away at the age of 50.
During the visit to the lawmaker’s residence at Asaba, Sir Onyeme expressed deep shock and sadness over the loss, describing the late Mrs. Dafe as a pillar of support and a woman of remarkable character whose presence will be sorely missed by the Ukwuani community and the state at large.
He urged Hon. Dafe to find strength in the Almighty God during this period of immense grief.
”The loss of a soulmate is a pain that words can hardly soothe, your wife was a wife, mother, and a companion who stood by you and our people.
“While 50 years seems short in our eyes, we take solace in the impactful life she lived and the legacy of kindness she leaves behind.”
The Deputy Governor led a brief moment of reflection, praying for the peaceful repose of the soul of the deceased.
In his response, Hon. Dafe expressed his gratitude to the Deputy Governor for the visit, noting that the gesture serves as a great source of comfort to his family during their darkest hour.
The visit was attended by several government officials, party stalwarts, and community leaders, including the member representing Ndokwa/Ukwuani Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi, Hon. Charles Emetulu of the Delta State House of Assembly (Ndokwa West Constituency).
