The National Youth Animator of the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, Very Rev. Fr. Boniface Idoko, will on Saturday, August 23, 2025, host a special retreat for teenagers with the theme “The Real Presence: The Eucharistic Jesus.”
The retreat, designed for young people between the ages of 13 and 19, aims to offer participants a spiritually enriching experience. Fr. Idoko described the programme as a “soul-nourishing encounter” that will deepen faith while also providing opportunities for social interaction.
Highlights of the retreat will include inspiring talks, catechesis, myth-busting sessions, prayers, games, and other engaging activities. The event is scheduled to take place at the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
According to the organisers, the retreat will not only focus on prayer and catechesis but will also serve as a platform for teenagers to build friendships, bond, and share their faith in a joyful atmosphere.
