A Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr. Andrew Mozia on Sunday, urged Catholics to resist temptation.

The Priest made the call on Sunday morning in a Homily he delivered while celebrating the Holy Mass at the Catholic Mass Centre, Maris Schools, Okpanam in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State.

Making references to how Jesus Christ resisted the devil after fasting for 40 days and 40 nights, Fr. Mozia emphasized that Satan and its antics can be resisted.

“Thrive towards faithfulness; the devil will test you with what you desire but learn to say ‘man does not live by bread alone but by His words.’

“All things belong to God, so, watch out for temptation.

“Note that it is not a sin to be tempted, it is a sin when you yield to temptation.

“You must be careful not to fall to the trick of the devil; this is the time to embrace the confessional, always confess your sins and take your lenten observation serious.”

The Holy Mass featured the first baptism of the Mass Centre, the baptism of Anastasia Michael and Benedict Enyioko, thanksgiving by Catholic Men Organization (CMO), among others.
