“Governance is not about story telling or speaking good English, it is about what you can do to ameliorate the suffering of the people, it is about how to make life better for everybody.”

Reacting to statement by the Obiaruku Chiefs that the Chairman, Ukwuani Local Government Council, Barr. Possible Ajede, was delivering in practical terms, the dividends of democracy, Onyeme stated, “I am happy that you are happy with the performance of our son the Ukwuani Local Government Chairman, Barr Possible Ajede.

“We thank God that since he came into office that he has never disappointed us.

“When the spokesperson was reeling out his achievements within this shot period, he read up to nine visible projects, physical projects that are impacting on the life of our people which shows that Barr. Ajede is focused and goal-oriented; that is what we want in governance.”

“I thank God that Barr. Ajede is doing well as a Council Chairman, let us continue to encourage him and those who are holding political offices for them to bring out their best.”

The deputy governor, assured the Obiaruku Traditional Council that government will intervene to check the erosion problem in the community.

Earlier, His Royal Highness, Chief Dickson Odogu, the Onotu-Uku of Obiaruku and Obiaruku Traditional Council applauded the victory of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and Chief Monday Onyeme during the last gubernatorial election.

They observed that the Ukwuani Local Government Council under the Chairmanship of Barr. Possible Ajede, has done well in meeting with the yearnings of the people.
