The annual Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols of Maris Schools, Amachai, Okpanam, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State shall hold on Wednesday, December 7, 2022.
A statement signed by the Chairman, Organising Committee for this year’s event, Miss Gloria Iyoriobhe, stated that the event shall commence with the celebration of the Holy Mass at exactly 10 am.
She said, “with joy in our hearts, we wish to inform the public that the Priest in charge of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Okpanam, Rev. Fr. Malachy Okonkwo, has approved Wednesday, December 7, 2022 for this year’s edition of Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols of Maris Schools, Amachai, Okpanam, Oshimili North Local Government Area within the Delta State Capital Territory.
“The festival is not restrictive but for everyone who wants to be in the mood to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
“As usual Priests and the religious shall join Rev. Fr. Okonkwo in celebrating the Holy Mass.
“We believe that the pupils and students of Maris Schools should be nurtured in the ways of the Lord and they will be actively involved on that day.
“Also, our respected parents, benefactors, and Spiritual Advisers, including choir groups from other churches shall by the grace of God, make this year’s edition a memorable one.”
The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols of Maris Schools takes place annually at Maris Hall, Maris Schools, No 1, Maris Street, Okpanam, Delta State.
