A total of 2,569 undergraduates from different institutions of higher learning are expected to sit for the aptitude test that will enable them to benefit from the 2026 edition of the Monday Onyeme Foundation’s Scholarship Scheme.
The scholarship scheme is sponsored by Sir Monday Onyeme, the Deputy Governor of Delta State.
At the close of expressions of interest for the scholarship scheme on May 6, 2026, a total of 3,560 undergraduates had applied, out of which 2,569 were shortlisted to participate in the aptitude test.
A statement signed by Mr Leo Ubuane, coordinator of the scheme, stated that the compulsory aptitude test for expected beneficiaries shall commence on Saturday, August 22, 2026, for the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency and will be held at Dennis Osadebay University, Asaba, starting at 10 a.m.
On Sunday, candidates from the Ika Federal Constituency will take their test at the University of Delta, Agbor, while those for the Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency will take theirs on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Utagba-Ogbe Technical College, Kwale.
According to Mr Ubuane, all candidates have been contacted with details regarding the aptitude test and are aware of what they are expected to bring to the test venues.
