A former member, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Sam Osasa, has said that the Ndokwa ethnic nationality will no longer complain about marginalisation.

Osasa spoke on Tuesday night in Asaba when the Deputy Governor-elect of Delta State, Chief Sir Monday Onyeme paid a congratulatory visit to Chief Festus Ochonogor on his appointment and successful screening by the Delta State House of Assembly as Managing Director, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC).

According to him, the people of Ndokwa have a lot of reasons to thank God for the new development where the area produced the incoming Deputy Governor of the state and MD of DESOPADEC.

One Year In Office: Oborevwori Is A Detribalized Governor Says Anthony Chukwu

“The governor has done very well as leader of our party, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the state.

“As a people, we have every reason to be grateful to God for using Governor Okowa to change our status.

“We said that it was our turn to produce the Deputy Governor and he threw his weight behind us and a very humble man, Chief Monday Onyeme emerged as the Deputy Governor-elect.

“Loyalty and peaceful disposition pay in politics; Ndokwa has no reason to complain about marginalisation because, today, we have a Deputy Governor who is about to be sworn-in and the Managing Director of DESOPADEC, a very tactical and loyal politician, Chief Festus Ochonogor.”

Earlier, the Chairman, PDP, Delta North, Elder Moses Iduh, described the unity among Ndokwa people as exemplary.

“There is nothing that is as good as peace and I want to beg everybody to avoid keeping grudges for us to succeed as a party.

“We should be sincere in our actions; we should try the best we can to tell ourselves the truth and sustain the peace that exists among our party members.”

Some of those who accompanied Chief Onyeme include Hon. Charles Emetulu, Engr. Dan Ossai, Chief Steve Eruotor, Dr Charles Olisa, Hon. Greg Edeme, Hon. Obi Nzete, Hon. Kingsley Egugbo, among others.
