The Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on Saturday, attended the funeral service of Pa Amadhe Ogor, Father of High Chief Iduh Amadhe, the immediate past President-General of Isoko Development Union (IDU).
Governor Oborevwori was represented by his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme, FCA, at the funeral service which took place at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Uzere, Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, and also had in attendance, the member representing Isoko South Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Ferguson Onwo, the Chief of Staff, Government House, Hon. Johnson Erijo, the Deputy Chief of Staff, Government House, Sir Christopher Osakwe, the Senior Policy Adviser to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Rt. Hon. Funkekeme Solomon, the Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Delta State, Chief Solomon Arenyeka, among other dignitaries.
Oborevwori in a message, said that the deceased lived a “remarkable life of 115 years.
“May the memories of his love, guidance and leadership bring comfort to his family during this difficult time and may the family that he left behind find solace in the knowledge that his impact will be felt for years to come.”
In a sermon at the service, the Bishop, Anglican Diocese, Oleh, Rt. Rev’d John Aruakpor, noted that the deceased lived a good life which is manifesting in the lives of his children.
“Papa was hard working, he was a cheerful giver, a great fisher man and farmer.
“It is the role of the parents to ensure proper upbringing of their children.
