Delta State Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme , FCA, has said that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, has surpassed the expectations of Deltans in the delivery of developmental projects which consolidated the fortunes of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.

The deputy governor stated this on Thursday at a ‘thank you and empowerment tour’ of Wards in Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta State.

Onyeme who urged the people to continue to support the Oborevwori-led administration, pointed out that the present administration would continue to deliver on its MORE Agenda.

“In less than two years, we have seen what our Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori is doing in our state and it is a thing of joy that Deltans are happy with our Governor.

” I urge you to continue to support this government and the PDP.

“This government has favoured and will continue to favour our people.

“The government has empowered sons and daughters of Ndokwa West, schools have been renovated and many other projects have been executed and some are still ongoing in just two years of the administration.

” I enjoin you to continue to identify with the PDP because PDP is getting better and stronger and will continue to grow.

“This government is our government, it is less than two years and you can see that this administration is doing very well.

“It is good that from the crowd that we can see at the communities that we visited that, it is good that we are all in the PDP.

“If you see anyone who says that he is decamping to another political party, look at him closely, the person must be a greedy person for it is unreasonable for one to decamp to another political party after enjoying the pecks of office in the PDP.

‘What we are doing today is to appreciate you all, thank you for believing in the PDP and today, we are giving cash to some persons to assist them in their businesses.

“We will be making this visit more regular and we will keep empowering our people while government will keep patronizing our people with political appointments and execution of projects,” Onyeme said.

The Delta North PDP Chairman, Engr. Dan Ossai, the member representing Ndokwa West State constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Charles Emetulu, the Commissioner for Urban Renewal, Engr Mike Anoka, the Deputy Chief of Staff, Government House, Sir Christopher Osakwe, former member of House of Representatives, Bar. Sam Osasa, the Managing Director, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, Chief Festus Ochonogor, former member of Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Azuka Azaka, Chairman of PDP, Ndokwa West, Chief Anslem Nzete, Chairmen of different Wards visited and others who spoke urged the people to continue to remain with the PDP and work for the party to enjoy the dividends of democracy.

The team led by the Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme and other political elected and appointed visited Ward 6, Ogbe-Ogume, Ward 7, Ogbagu-Ogume, Ward 5, Onicha-Ukwuani and Ward 4, Utagba-Uno.

High point of the visits which climaxed with a visit to the home of an elder statesman, Rear Admiral Mike Onah, OON, was the presentation of cash to fifty persons in each of the Wards visited.
