VICE Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Governorship candidate of the party in Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, former Governor of the State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, on Wednesday, gave reasons why Nigerians will thumbprint the Umbrella logo during the 2023 general elections.

Addressing prospective voters at Patani and Isoko North in the ongoing Local Government-to-Local Government Areas campaign tour those who spoke stated that Nigerians have a lot to benefit by ensuring that all the candidates of the party emerge victorious in the elections.

Governor Okowa said, “the crowd we are seeing is evidence that the people are in love with the PDP; translate this crowd to votes on election day.

“You have a lot of work to do in ensuring that all the votes are for Atiku/Okowa; and all the candidates of the PDP.

“I thank you all for your support for the PDP over the years.

“As a party, we have done well for our State and Country but it is unfortunate that the APC came in 2015 and destroyed all the achievements we recorded.

“Because they are ashamed of their performance in the last seven and half years, they have resorted to lies and propaganda.

“They have nothing more to offer than inflicting poverty, hunger, insecurity, and a collapsed economy on Nigerians.

“Please vote for all our party candidates because PDP will win the election.

“I have been going round the Country and I can assure you that PDP will win the 2023 Presidential election.

“Atiku and I will repair the damages caused by the APC.

“The PDP Government will ensure that our universities would no longer go on strike and we will continue all our youth and women empowerment programmes.”

“I have worked very hard for this State and much more work still needs to be done. So, what remains to be done Sheriff Oborevwori will continue from where we will stop.

“Let’s work hard to win all votes in Delta State so that we can achieve our rescue mission mandate.”

Former Governor of the State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan called on the people to vote for all PDP candidates, adding that, “for the first time we have somebody from our dear State nominated as Vice-Presidential candidate.

“So we must work hard to ensure that the PDP wins the Presidential election because if PDP wins, Okowa will take some people with him to Abuja and many of our Federal roads will be attended to.

“This election is special to Deltans; for the first time, a Deltan is emerging as the Vice-President of our Country, that is enough reason for us to vote for candidates of the PDP; the person is our smart Governor, a man who has done well for us, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa.”

Rt. Hon. Oborevwori at the rally, said, with Governor Okowa emerging as Vice-President, the lack of Federal presence in the State would be addressed.

“My agenda which is MORE will bring meaningful development, opportunities for all Deltans, realistic development of our dear State, and enhance the security of our dear State.

“Deltans gave me a good man, Chief Monday Onyeme to be my Deputy Governor, so, vote for PDP five-over-five.”

Chairman of the party in the State, Olorogun Kingsley Esiso presented flags to Hon. Michael Diden who is contesting for Senate, Delta South Senatorial District; Hon. Nicholas Mutu, the candidate for House of Representatives, Patani/Bomadi Federal Constituency, and Hon. Emmanuel Sinebe who is seeking re-election to Delta State House of Assembly, Patani Constituency.

At Ozoro, Olorogun Esiso, also, presented the PDP flag to Hon. Michael Diden, Hon. Ajirioghene Ukodiko, the PDP candidate for House of Representatives, Isoko Federal Constituency, and House of Assembly candidate, Barr. Bernard Odior.

Olorogun Esiso, Mutu, and others who spoke at the well-attended rallies, thanked Nigerians for their patience with the All Progressives Congress, APC despite the woes they have afflicted on Nigerians since 2015, stating that in 2023, Nigerians shall boot out APC with their voters’ cards.

Deputy Governorship candidate of the party, Chief Monday Onyeme, and Chief Godwill Obielum, were among those who attended all the rallies.
