Onyeme Leads Delta Economic Team To Inspect Kwale Industrial Park, Says At Least Six Industries To Be Operational At The Park

The Deputy Governor of Delta State , Sir Monday Onyeme, FCA, has called on investors to leverage on the huge economic benefits of investing at the Delta Special Economic Zone, otherwise known as the Kwale Industrial Park to invest in Delta State

Speaking after an on-the-spot inspection tour of facilities of Delta Wire Industries at the Kwale Industrial Park on Wednesday, the Deputy Governor who led members of the Delta State Economic Team to the Park, disclosed that at least six companies were expected to operate at the Park and with the enabling environment created by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration for investors, one company, the Kwale Gas Gathering (KGG) Facility and Nedogas Processing Plant has commenced operation while the Delta Wire Industries is working for them to also be fully operational at the Park.

He said, “this is an opportunity for other industrialists to come to Delta State and establish at the Kwale Industrial Park, we already have two industries and we are expecting at least six industries to be fully operational here because of the huge benefits of investing in our state.

“Our Governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has created the enabling environment for investments to thrive and those who are aware of the huge benefits of investing in Kwale Industrial Park, especially because of easy access to gas facilities are already coming.

“I am happy with what we have seen here today, the Delta Wire Industries are showing seriousness about their doing business in our state,

“The company is planning ahead with the machinery on ground concerning several chains of business that they intend to do here, as a government, we will give them the enabling support and ensure that together, we achieve greatness.

“What we have seen here this afternoon is more than all the paper works I have been seeing since last year and I must say I am really impressed; we will take back this message to our Governor and I am very sure that he will do everything to expedite action to ensure this project comes on board.

The Chief Executive Officer of Delta Wire Industries, Mr.Osaro Abusomwan who took the Deputy Governor and members of the state Economic Team on tour of facilities at the Industry stated that there are lots of potentials for industrialists at the Kwale Industrial Park.

He disclosed that wires, nails, medical needles and syringes, CNG and LPG cylinders are expected to be produced at the industry asserting, “CNG revolution should start from Delta State because the gas deposit is here, gas is in excess here, and we have been able to get the rights from NNPC to distribute gas.”

Mr Abusomwan commended Governor Oborevwori administration’s commitment to make Delta investors haven.

Some members of the Delta State Economic Team who accompanied the Deputy Governor on the visit include the Commissioner for Finance, Sir Fidelis Okenmor Tilije, the Special Adviser to the Government of Delta State on Finance, Investments, and International Development (SAFID), Chief George Orogun, the Chief Economic Adviser to Delta State Government, Dr Barry Gbe, the Private Secretary to the Governor of Delta State, Mrs Lyna Ochulor and Hon. Emeka Elekokwuri, Director-General, Delta State Investment and Development Agency (DIDA).
