DEPUTY Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Delta State, Chief Monday Onyeme, the member representing Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Ossai Nicholas on Wednesday led the PDP Community-to-Community campaign tour of different communities in Utagba-Ogbe, Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta State.

Also in the campaign train is Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi, the candidate of the party for Federal House of Representatives in the area, and Hon. Charles Emetulu who is seeking for the people’s votes to return to the Delta State House of Assembly.

Chief Onyeme at the places visited which includes the Palace of Oduosa of Utagba-Ogbe, Unusedeli, Umuseti, Isumpe, Ogbeani, Azunze, and Umusadege said that the people should vote for the PDP because it has a clear-cut programme on how to save Nigerians from the hardship imposed on them by the All Progressives Congress, APC-led Federal Government.

Onyeme who is from Ndokwa West Local Government Area added that it was also good to be with his people talking about who they should vote for.

He said, “this election is a time for us to get it right again for our country, let us collectively, rescue Nigeria from the wicked clutches of the APC.

“APC is a bad product, a political party that has brought so much hardship to Nigerians since they took over from a PDP-ran flourishing economy in 2015.

“We cannot forget how they introduced herdsmen who were killing our people and raping our women; we cannot forget how they made electricity unavailable to our people and made the cost of petrol and kerosene beyond the reach of the people; and today, they have locked our money in the banks, so, many people cannot access their money and cannot feed their families.

“Are we going to vote for APC? (the people chorused, ‘God forbid, PDP all-the-way); we should vote for the PDP because our Governor is going to be Vice-President, that means that Delta State is going to produce the number two person in the country.

“Our Governor, Governor Okowa is going to be Vice-President to an experienced person, our former Vice-President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

“PDP has also done very well for our people, I am your son and the PDP has chosen me to be the Deputy Governorship candidate to Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori who is the PDP Governorship candidate, so, are we going to vote Atiku and Okowa? (The people shouted, PDP 100 percent, PDP, five-over-five.)”

Chief Onyeme urged the people to vote for Prince Ned Nwoko for Senate, Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi for House of Representatives and Hon. Charles Emetulu for Delta State House of Assembly.

Hon. Ossai Nicholas also, called on the people to vote for all the candidates of the PDP, noting that APC brought hunger to Nigerians.

Chairman of the Campaign Committee in the area, Barr. Sam Osasa, at all the communities, introduced the candidates.

Hon. Emetulu, Hon. Ezechi and the Chairman of the party in the Local Government Area, Ogbuefi Lucky Okuji thanked the people for believing in the PDP and promising to cast all their votes for the candidates of the PDP.

Some of those who were in the campaign train include Hon. Aneke Ifemeni, Chief Festus Ochonogor, Barr. Emmanuel Egri-Okwaji, Comrade Joshua Opia, Chief Emeka Ukpe, members Market Women Association led by Mrs. Kate Onah, among others.
