The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, FCA, has described the late Bar. Ifeanyi Nwabuoku as a good Christian and a lawyer of remarkable integrity.
Sir Onyeme gave the description on Monday during the Night of Tribute organised by Lions International in honour of late Lion Ifeanyi Nwabuoku, Esq.
The Deputy Governor at the occasion, said, “I have known him since 2001.
“IMO as we foundly called him, through the professional and social circles we both belonged to, and from the very beginning, he left an indelible impression in my life and in the lives of so many others here today.
‘He was a lawyer of remarkable integrity, one who handled matters not merely with legal brilliance, but with compassion, fairness, and a deep sense of humanity.
“To him, the law was not just a profession; it was a tool for service; he never allowed money or status to compromise his principles.
“Barr. Nwabuoku did the work because it was right, not because it was profitable.”
The Deputy Governor added that Lion Nwabuoku made great impact on Asaba Phase 11 Lions Club, stating that his great sense of humour will be greatly missed.
“What made IMO truly exceptional was his character; he had a rare ability to bring light into any room.
“Our meetings were never complete without him, even in tense moments, his humor, warmth, and laughter restored balance and reminded us of our shared humanity.
“He could make you laugh even in the most difficult circumstances,” Sir Onyeme stated.
Sir Monday while consoling this family, told them to take comfort in the fact that he lived a meaningful life and left behind a powerful legacy of excellence, kindness, and integrity.
The District Governor of Lions Club, Lion Robinson Omonigho, at the occasion, said the demise of Lion Ifeanyi Nwabuoku was a great loss to the District as he was called home when the club was yet to fully enjoy his wealth of knowledge.
Speaking on behalf of the family, the son of the deceased, Bar. Fumnanya Nwabuoku thanked Deputy Governor Monday Onyeme and the Lions Club for paying respect to their father.
