PDP Pledges To Participate In Agali’s Burial Programme

THE leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ndokwa West chapter, on Sunday, assured the family of late Major Babs Agali (rtd) of active participation in the deceased burial ceremony.

Agali was a chieftain of the party before his demise.

Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, FCA, Rear Admiral Mike Onah, (rtd), the member representing Ndokwa West Constituency at the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Charles Emetulu, Chairman, Ndokwa West Local Government Council, Comrade Obi Nzete, Chairman, PDP, Ndokwa West chapter, Ogbuefi Lucky Okuji, among other chieftains of the party, gave the assurance when they visited Major Agali’s widow, Dr. Mrs Nnenna Agali in Benin City, Edo State.

The party leaders were told that the remains of Major Agali would be interred on April 5, 2024.

Deputy Governor Onyeme disclosed that though, he had visited the family of the deceased to commiserate with them twice, the visit on Sunday was done by the party.

He described the late Agali as a great party man who was committed to the progress of the party.

Also speaking, Rear Admiral Onah stated that the PDP would participate fully in the burial activities of late Agali.

According to Onah, the deceased lived an impactful life, adding that his loss was irreplaceable .

He urged the wife and family to take solace in the Lord who knew best as no amount of weeping would bring the departed back, adding that she was now a mother and father to the children.

The wife of deceased, Dr. (Mrs) Agali thanked the delegation for the visit saying that the family was appreciative of their support since the death of her husband.

She said that she was happy that the political class from Ndokwa nation had continued to rally round the family and promised to carry them along in the funeral arrangements.

Some other political leaders from Ndokwa West who were present during the condolence visit include Chief Festus Ochonogor, Managing Director of DESOPADEC, Sir Ifeanyi Osakwe, Deputy Chief of Staff, Government House, Mrs Omoni Johnson, Hon. Jeffrey Azagba, Barr. Emmanuel Egri-Okwaji and Mr Greg Udeme.
