The Presidency is set to host what it describes as the country’s largest gathering of digital communicators, the Progressive Digital Media Summit, in Abuja.
The two-day summit, scheduled for August 1 and 2, 2025, will be held at the State House Banquet Hall, Aso Villa.
It is being organised by President Bola Tinubu’s Special Assistant on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, in collaboration with the All Progressives Congress.
According to the organisers, the summit will focus on the role of digital media in national development and how it can support the implementation and public perception of government policies.
Participants are expected to include policymakers, media professionals, influencers, content creators, and communication experts, according to a statement shared with NewsDen.
The summit will feature panel discussions, workshops, and networking sessions aimed at building capacity in digital communication and exploring the role of social media in governance.
The theme of the event is “Unveiling the critical role of new media in national development with a focus on the Renewed Hope agenda.”
