The country’s Information Minister, Manal Abdel Samad had on Sunday resigned.

She said in a statement, “After the enormous Beirut catastrophe, I announce my resignation from government.”

At least six lawmakers have quit since the explosion which occurred on August 4 in a warehouse on Beirut’s port that contained 2750 metric tons of ammonium nitrate, stored there for years despite repeated warnings that it was unsafe.

Real men don’t quit at the surreal of trouble. Resignation is not the best option to doggedly fighting a bad governance. There is no victory without vanquish. All those resigning must note this. Leaders must not fret away at the slightest string of trouble.
May God gives the fortitude to all those whose loves one died at the explosion. May the homeless be restored and the injured for fast recovery in Jesus name, amen
