The aptitude test for qualified candidates under the Monday Onyeme Foundation (MOF) Scholarship Scheme entered its second day on Sunday, with 212 persons emerging successful.

The auditorium of the University of Delta (UNIDEL), Agbor, was the venue of the test, which saw the Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, Ph.D., supervising the examination.
Announcing the results amidst applause from successful candidates, the Deputy Governor disclosed that a total of 650 students were shortlisted for the examination, out of which 478 sat for the test and 212 passed.
Sir Onyeme stated that while 108 candidates passed in Ika North-East, 104 were successful from Ika South.
The Deputy Governor, who was officially received by the Vice-Chancellor of UNIDEL, Prof. Eric Eboh, noted that there was a significant improvement in the number of students who sat for the test this year compared to previous editions.
”I want to congratulate the students from Ika Federal Constituency; this is a comparative improvement in performance as against previous editions.
”As you are already aware, each of the successful candidates will get N200,000.
“Also, the student with the highest score will get an extra N200,000, the second position will get N150,000, and the third highest scorer will be given an extra N100,000.
”The competitive nature of the scholarship scheme has made it endearing; it is an annual event, so if you are not successful this year, you can try again next year.
”Yesterday was for Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, today we are through with Ika Federal Constituency, and next Sunday, we shall go to Kwale for the Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency aptitude test.”
He added that after the completion of the aptitude test, a date would be announced for the disbursement of cheques to the beneficiaries.
Miss Ojeme Goodness from Ika South emerged as the top scorer with 51 marks, Idioma Peace, also from Ika South, came second with 50 marks, while Akoreh Michael from Ika North-East took third position with 47 marks.
Dignitaries present alongside the Deputy Governor and officials of the Ministry of Education who administered the test included Prof. Eboh, top management of UNIDEL, and the Deputy Chief of Staff, Government House, Sir Chris Osakwe, among others.
