Delta State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has expressed its hearty congratulations to the State Governor and leader of the party in the State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on his well-deserved Supreme Court victory, which has brought a final closure to all litigations challenging his election as the Executive Governor of Delta State

The felicitations, contained in a congratulatory message by the Delta State PDP Publicity Secretary, Dr. Ifeanyi Osuoza, also assured that the victory has now cleared the coast for the full implementation and delivery of the MORE Agenda for Deltans.

The statement reads: “Your Excellency, our leader, it is with overwhelming happiness, satisfaction, and a huge sense of relief, that the entire PDP family in Delta State, offer our unreserved congratulations to His Excellency, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and our dear Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Sir Monday Onyeme on the well-deserved election appeal victory at the highest court in the land, Supreme Court.

“We applaud the judiciary once again for their undoubted consistency and conviction right from the Elections Petitions Tribunal, in maintaining an unwavering position on the result of the March 18, 2023 Governorship election in our State and this final judgement is an irreversible affirmation of the decision of Delta masses to vote landslide for Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori as their duly elected Governor.

“Recall that we had offered the olive branch and extended our hand of collective partnership to our fellow brothers by urging them to reconsider any further challenge, after the Appeal Court verdict, but to God be all the Glory that we have now triumphed beyond all petitions, appeals, and litigations over election matters and we are still magnanimous in our desire to carry every willing party along as we move to deliver MORE dividends of Democracy to Deltans.

“We, therefore want to at this juncture and with profound respect and humility, express our deep and unreserved appreciation to all our elders and leaders for their steadfastness, unwavering commitment, and unshakable resolve to stand firmly and solidly behind Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and indeed stay the course with him and the PDP Family from the very beginning of this journey, to this final point of unassailable victory.

“Our heartfelt gratitude also goes to our teeming supporters who exhibited unparalleled love and unambiguous support against all odds and obstacles for the PDP and our collective effort and objective, to sustain and consolidate the fortunes of our party in Delta State.

“God bless you all.

“There is absolutely no doubt that our dear Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and his able Deputy Sir Monday Onyeme, have already performed beyond all positive and practical expectations, shocked their cynical detractors, and pleasantly surprised teeming loyalists and supporters, by delivering a steady, astute, balanced, determined, and focused leadership excellence within the short period they have been at the helm of Delta State administration,

“The hallmarks of progressive leadership in all sectors; Infrastructural, Health, Education, Welfare, Sports, Peace and Security, and even Humanitarian affairs amongst others, have all been greeted with unanimous acceptance and widespread endorsement, as the MORE Agenda continues to be systematically implemented with strategic, surefooted enthusiasm.

“With this election victory finally decided by the Supreme Court, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori will be greatly motivated now, to continue the impressive work of bringing MORE dividends of Democracy to our people and His Excellency, in line with his large-hearted brotherliness, which has already been amply exhibited by his all-encompassing and accommodating politics without bitterness disposition, will desire for all well-meaning Deltans to embrace his progressive altruism and join hands with him to consolidate on doing MORE and giving MORE as we now move full throttle, towards taking Delta State to the next higher level in the interest of all Deltans.
