DEPUTY Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Delta State, Chief Monday Onyeme, has said Nigerians are expected to vote for all the candidates of the party in the forthcoming general elections.
Addressing the people of Ika North-East Local Government Area of Delta State during the ongoing Ward-to-Ward campaign by the PDP, Delta North on Tuesday, Chief Onyeme, observed that the PDP-led administration of Senator, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, has done well in Delta State which would be replicated in the Country with the emergence of the Governor as Vice-President in 2023.
He said, “we thank the people of Ika North-East for the support of the administration of our Vice-Presidential candidate who is our Governor, your son, and brother, Senator, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa.
“We expect 100 percent votes for all the candidates of the PDP, our party in the 2023 general elections; we are confident that Nigerians will get it right by voting for PDP candidates.
“If we have number two man on the top, that is enough for us to vote for PDP; PDP is the only party that can reset and rebuild this country, Nigerians are aware of that.
“Our Governor has done well in our State and he will hand over to Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori who I will work with as Deputy Governor.
“Imagine what the Governor will do as Vice-President, and Rt. Hon. Oborevwori and I will do for Deltans from 2023, so, we should get it right by voting for all the candidates of the PDP. ”
The Deputy Governorship candidate also, stated that the Senatorial Candidate of the party in the State, Prince Ned Nwoko, is popular among the people as a philanthropist and will attract democratic dividends to the people, adding that the House of Representatives candidate for Ika Federal Constituency, Hon. Victor Nwokolo is an experienced lawmaker who will work closely with the Vice-President Ifeanyi Okowa to do more for the people.
Earlier, the Chairman, of Delta North PDP, Elder Moses Iduh, stated that Ika North-East is home to the PDP and the campaign was a formality and an opportunity for members of the party to meet themselves.
At all the Wards visited which included Ward 14 (Otolokpo), Ward 3 (Boji Boji), Ward 4 (Boji Boji Urban), and Ward 9 (Ute), rousing reception greeted the campaign team which has Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ochor Christopher Ochor, Chief Godwill Obielum, and other dignitaries were in attendance.
