The incoming government led by Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, is poised in making a difference in delivering dividend of democracy in the State via M.O.R.E Agenda Mantra.

The MORE Agenda which stands for Meaningful Development, Opportunity for all Deltans, Realistic Reforms and Enhanced Peace and Security will certainly usher in more development in the State.
This prosperity posture is further strengthen by Delta State PDP choice of Sir Monday Onyeme , (revenue guru) as the deputy Governor .
The choice of sir Monday Onyeme is just putting a round peg in around hole as his wealth of experience is a catalist to drive the M.O.R.E Agenda, encompassing every aspect of development, thus , reposition Delta State and her people by engaging the core indices of modern Development.
There is no daubt that this agenda will really transform the State with the likes of Sir Monday Onyeme as among those who will manage the economy of the State in deputy Governor capacity.
Monday Onyeme is a man of capacity with management sagacity and undoubtally moving force that will complement the Governor – elect , Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, tested and trusted management expert who has
proved himself as speaker of Delta House of Assembly.
Chief Monday Onyeme , deputy Governor – elect, is a Deltan , born on 30th March 1965 at Ibabu , Onicha Ukwuani in Ndokwa Wast Local Government Area, the Odoziani 1, of Ibabu kingdom.
A detribalised Deltan, thoroughbred chartered accountant with divers training both locally and internationally as well speaks English Language, Ibo, Ukwuani and Hausa.
He started his early life in the Northern part of Nigeria, Sokoto where he obtained his Primary Leaving Certificate in Army Children School, Sokoto , Sokoto State in 1977.
He proceeded to Government Secondary School, Gummi in Kebbi State from 1977- 1982.
Sir Monday Onyeme attended Federal Polytechnic Kaura Namodra in Zamfara State , where he bagged distinction grade in National Diploma . Ready to acquire more education to position himself for leadership role seek further study at University of Calabar and came out with second class upper in 1991
He became chartered accountant in 1993 and Diploma in science in 2022 from Federal Collage of Education (Technical) Asaba .
He was awarded Certificate in Information and Communication Technology (I CT) by Northumbria University in Newcastle as well bagged Masters Degree (MA) in Business Management from same University and special commendation for outstanding performance from Newcastle based University.
Sir Monday Onyeme, a chartered accountant per excellence has made difference in all the organisations he worked and has wealth of knowledge and experience to bear in the realization of organisational goals and target .
All of these knowledge and experience will, without fear of contracdition deploy towards making the State to witness more and all round development across the State.

He worked as Bursar of the National Open University of Nigerian ( NOUN), 2008.
He was the Bursar of Federal College of Education( Technical) Asaba between November 2005 – September 2006.
He was also Assistant Chief Accountant ( Head Finance and Supply )at the National Agriculture Land Development Authority , Asaba Between July 1996 and October 2000 and Chief Accountant , Octopus Continental Enterprise , Lagos, between July 1995 and June 1996.
Between September 1993 and June1995 he served as Senior Executive Assistant Audit, Commercial Trust Bank, Lagos.
He worked in the audit department of National Electric Power Authority (NEPA)in Lagos office from February 1992 to August 1993 .
Sir Onyeme made his mark in the academic world as an Assistant Lecturer , Federal Polytechnic , Kaura Namodria, Zamfara State from 1991 to 1992.
His professional wealth of experience that is of advantage to the management of the economy of the State includes ; membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN), Chartered Institute of Management( NIM), Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, (CITA ) as well as Chartered Institute of Internal Auditor of Nigeria ,( CIIAN),and member Association of Certified Fraud Examiner.
He Was appointed Chairman , Delta State Board of Internal Revenue now Revenue Services in September 30th, 2015 to 30th September 30th, 2019.
As result of his contributions to optimal increase of the Internally Generated Revenue of the State and his commitment towards service delivery he was reappointed by the State Governor, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa as Chairman , DSBIRS.
Sir Monday Onyeme ,a philanthropist , humanitarian , committed member of the International Association of Lions Club and one time District Governor 404A1 International Association of Lions Club Nigeria , has a non governmental organisation in Delta State , Monday Onyeme Foundation and has awarded scholarship worth millions of Naira to 218 undergraduates of Ndokwa West, Ndokwa East, and Ukwuani Local Government Area.
