EJUMI SUCCESS hails from Uwvie Local Government Area and has a B.A in English and Literary Studies. She had trained in the production of cleaning agents, but could not establish herself for lack of funds.
Luck came her way when she enrolled in the Delta State Government’s Skills Training and Entrepreneurship Programme (STEP) as a Brown STEP beneficiary in the 2017/2018 cycle. She is now the CEO of Triple Star International located in Warri. She has more than 15 products to her credit. She shares her success story.
“With my bumper starter pack, I established my business. I now produce car paints, wall paints (oil, emulsion and textcoat paints,) petroleum jelly, body cream, tablet soap, body soap, organic soap, car wash, disinfectants, toilet wash, hand sanitizer, chemical, shampoo, hair conditioner and so on.
I am working on registering my products with NAFDAC soon. Besides, I have trained over 100 persons in the production of cleaning agents. At present, I have five trainees and two staff. I have also diversified into sale of chemicals.
“The production of the cleaning agent is rewarding because the market is there. To me, STEP is the ability to make money without a white-collar job. It trained me to become independent and self-employed. STEP made me a trainer, and as a result, many persons are no longer jobless; we have touched many lives.”
