Friday Onyeka Onyeche enrolled into the 2019/2020 YAGEP cycle and was established in Piggery.
He hails from Ika South LGA. Friday’s case was pathetic as he had no hope of a bright future until he enrolled into YAGEP. He shares his experience.
“I could not complete my secondary school education for lack of funds, neither was there hope of acquiring a skill or to go to study in the university.
gave me hope. YAGEP exposed me to the world of business. It improved my entrepreneurship ability and my level of reasoning.
With the farm support I received from YAGEP, I began my piggery. I currently have 45 pigs. I have now diversified to Fashion Design and Tailoring. From the proceeds from my farm, I enrolled in a fashion school to acquire skills on how to make male clothes.
“YAGEP taught me persistence and gave me hope that the future is bright. I am saving to acquire a sewing machine to improve my sewing skill. When my finances improve, I shall further my education on a part-time programme.”
