2nd Module, 7th Edition, IOC/NOC Management Course holds nationwide – NOC Official

The second module of the 7th Edition of the IOC/NOC Advanced Sport Management Course to equip sports administrators with the knowledge and tools for improvement within their organisations, has begun nationwide.

The programme is an initiative of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) through Olympic Solidarity and the National Olympic Committees (NOCs).

It is also designed to help stakeholders develop and maintain solid, sustainable administrative structures to deliver needed support for athletes and administrators.

Target Participants are stakeholders from State Sports Councils/Commissions and Higher Institutions.

According to Tony Nezianya, the NOC’s spokesperson, the programme will be conducted in a hybrid format, combining onsite sessions with virtual participation.

Facilitators and Guest Speakers for the programme are IOC-certified Course Directors.

They are, Prof. Fasan Clement, Lagos State University, and Dr Dyagas Jonathan, the Director of Finance at the Association of National Olympic Committee of Africa (ANOCA).

Additional speakers are expected to enrich the sessions.

Nezianya added that the programme, to be held in a virtual space and coordinated from Lagos, would be concluded on Jan. 24.

The President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee, Habu Gumel, would declare the session open.
