Egugbo said, “gentlemen, my colleagues in the Fourth Estate of the Realm, today, we are happy to announce the guest speaker for this year’s edition of Maris Annual Public Service Lecture, in the person of soft-spoken, intelligent, smart and well exposed law maker, administrator, political strategist, family man, Rt. Hon. Festus Ovie Agas.

“2022 is a political year ahead of the 2023 general elections, so, a lot of factors were considered and Rt. Hon.  Agas emerged among the names presented.

“As a man who was the Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, served as Secretary to the Delta State Government (SSG), became the Chief Strategist before his emergence as the Chief of Staff to Delta State Government,  he has vast knowledge about the workings of government,  the society and how to deepen Nigeria’s democracy.

“Rt. Hon. Agas who has accepted  to deliver the lecture is happily married and in the next few days, we shall be giving you more details as the lecture will hold on its traditional date of Wednesday before Easter Sunday, that is, for this year’s edition, it shall hold on Wednesday,  April 13 to the glory of God.”
