Arteta Calls For ‘Animal’ Intensity In Crucial Brentford Clash

Arsenal Manager Mikel Arteta has issued a passionate rallying cry to his team and supporters, urging them to hunt down a victory against Brentford on Wednesday with “animal” intensity.

The demand comes after two draws in their last three Premier League games, a run that has slightly stalled their progress, although they still hold a five-point lead at the top of the table.

Arteta emphasized the need for a raucous atmosphere at the Emirates.

“It’s an opportunity tomorrow at 7.30pm—everybody… to be at the Emirates, bouncing and putting energy to win the game,” he told reporters on Tuesday.

He doubled down on the urgent tone, stating, “7.30pm. Like animals, everybody at the Emirates, to go again and beat Brentford. That’s the opportunity. Vital. Massive.”

Despite injuries affecting his squad, Arteta insisted the existing preparation and their league position are sufficient motivation as Arsenal targets their first league title since 2004.

Arsenal faces selection challenges, with centre-back William Saliba and winger Leandro Trossard doubtful after missing Sunday’s match against Chelsea.

Additionally, defender Gabriel and forward Kai Havertz remain weeks away from a return.

Arteta commented on the depth issues, noting that injuries, particularly in the frontline and now the backline, have forced players into unfamiliar positions.
