“Dr Emina can be described as a man who is endowed with several gifts by God to serve humanity.

“Since the inception of Maris Annual Public Service Lecture some years ago, he has consistently piloted the discussion segment of the lecture professionally as ‘The Moderator.’

“We at Maris Trust Council are aware that a lot of persons are rooting for Dr Emina to remain as the Moderator for this year’s lecture billed to hold traditionally on Wednesday before Easter Sunday, that is, Wednesday, April 5, 2023.

“Dr Emina is a devout Catholic who attended a Seminary school, a renowned journalist who dared to bring stories from where people thought were impossible before he moved to the University as a lecturer.

“So, to some persons, he is a lecturer who does not miss his classes and is very strict while those in University of Ibadan addresses him as ‘Mr President.’

“He was the President, University of Ibadan Alumni Association Worldwide and still participate actively in the affairs of the university.

“Dr Emina, as you celebrate your birthday, we thank God for the sincere way you deal with humanity, we thank Him for giving you the means to achieve desired results in whatever you do, we thank Him for making your people, the good people of Ebu community to recognise your gifts and made you the Ode Ega of Ebu, we thank Him for your wonderful family, we thank Him for using you to play special roles in the annual Maris Lecture and we thank Him for making you a role model to people that you may not know.

“We pray that God will continue to preserve you in good health and wisdom; we pray that he will continue to grant your heart’s desire and make you remain Kemi Emina the goal-getter.

“Once again, congratulations and happy birthday anniversary Dr Kemi Emina.”
