The Maris Trust Council (MTC), organizers of the Maris Annual Public Service Lecture series, has described Rev. Fr. John Konyeke as an anchor of faith, moral pillar, and steadfast advocate for social justice as he marks his 19th anniversary in the Catholic Priesthood.
In a congratulatory message signed by Comrade Fidelis Egugbo, Secretary of the Maris Trust Council, and made available to newsmen in Asaba on Tuesday, the Council lauded the cleric for his outstanding contributions to spiritual growth, community development, and societal re-engineering over the past 19 years.
Highlighting Fr. Konyeke’s longstanding involvement with the Maris Trust Council as Spiritual Adviser, having served as a key stakeholder, Father of the Day, and featured discussant across various editions of the Maris Annual Public Service Lecture, the Council noted that his dedication extends far beyond the pulpit into shaping critical discourse for a better society.
”For nearly two decades, Rev. Fr. John Konyeke has remained a shining light of the gospel, translating divine doctrine into practical, selfless service to humanity.
”At the Maris Trust Council, we have uniquely witnessed his deep wisdom, humility, and passion for good governance and nation-building; his consistent support and active involvement in our annual lectures reflect his deep desire to see a peaceful, progressive, and morally upright society,” the statement read.
The Council emphasized that Fr. Konyeke’s pastoral care, inspiring homilies, and benevolent outreach have brought hope, spiritual upliftment, and direction to thousands of lives.
Joining the Catholic Faithful globally to mark the milestone, MTC offered prayers for God’s continuous grace, good health, and wisdom upon the cleric as he continues his sacred duty at the altar.
”As you celebrate 19 grace-filled years in the Order of Melchizedek, the Maris Trust Council prays that Almighty God renews your strength like the eagle’s.
”May He grant you divine protection, good health, and fruitfulness in the Lord’s vineyard to continue inspiring humanity for many more decades,” the Council stated.
