Delta State Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme, Ph.D., has called on Nigerians to support the economic reforms and policies of President Bola Tinubu.

According to him, President Tinubu is determined to transform the nation’s economy and make life better for the people.
Sir Onyeme made the call while speaking at a medical outreach organized by the Special Assistant to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Non-Indigenes, Sir Anthony Chukwu, for the people of Ward 10, Oshimili South Local Government to mark his birth anniversary on Monday in Asaba.
The Deputy Governor, who congratulated Sir Chukwu on the celebration of his birthday, commended him for keying into the State Government’s M.O.R.E. Agenda by carrying out the medical outreach and donating 250 medicated eyeglasses to the people of Ward 10.
He said, “In today’s Nigeria, we do not have a better option of who should be our President other than President Bola Tinubu.
”Some people will think that we are just saying so because we belong to the APC; I am proud to be a member of the APC, very proud, because when you see who knows how to work, the best thing to do is to support the person and our President knows his job.
”We have seen different governments at federal levels before now; a few years ago, every one or two months, you saw people carrying fuel cans in their cars and queuing for fuel, but today, what happened? You hardly see any queues due to the magic of somebody, and that person is President Tinubu.
”Governor Oborevwori is also doing very well because there is money. Our allocation from Abuja has increased, and who made that possible? President Tinubu.
”President Tinubu is a champion of reforms, and he is working to make Nigeria more functional.
”I congratulate the celebrant, Lion Sir Anthony Chukwu, for celebrating his birthday with this medical outreach; Sir Chukwu, we wish you many more years in good health, more promotions will come your way; the party and the government will always recognize your efforts.”
In his remarks, Sir Anthony Chukwu said the medical outreach was aimed at reaching out to those in need of medical attention.
He noted that during previous celebrations, he had built and commissioned borehole facilities, embarked on empowerment programmes, and distributed rice and other items to make life better for the people.
The Leader of the Medical Team and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Technical Education, Dr. Anthony Okwunze, said tests and drugs were administered for malaria, hypertension, blood sugar levels, and general medical conditions, alongside the distribution of 250 eyeglasses.
He added that the medical outreach enabled several residents to receive free treatment and medications.
In separate goodwill messages, the people described Sir Anthony Chukwu as a grassroots politician who is always in touch with the people.
