CHAIRMAN of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Delta State Chapter, Barr. Kingsley Esiso, has taken a swipe at the All Progressives Congress, APC, for crippling the economy of the Country.

Speaking at the ongoing Ward-to-Ward campaign tour of the PDP on Thursday at Abavo and Ekuku-Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, Esiso stated that Nigerians are in haste to vote out APC and vote in PDP.

He said amidst a thunderous chorus of “no” from the crowd, “are you happy with the APC?”

“APC met a robust economy in 2015 and a few years later, Nigerians cannot afford to buy a bag of rice; it brought insecurity,  kidnapping and a lot or  bad things; Nigerians are suffering and disillusioned but the coming of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as the Presidential and Vice-Presidential candidates respectively, has rekindled their hope that the PDP is on a rescue mission,” he said.

While calling for 100 percent votes for the PDP in the 2023 general elections, he alluded to the Labour Party fielding Mr. Peter Obi, as its Presidential candidate of which the people shouted in unison, “Obi is a boy and not matured yet for the Presidential seat.”

Esiso, noted that Governor Okowa’s administration has done very well in Delta State and the people stand to benefit more when he emerges as Vice-President in 2023.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Campaign Council in Delta North, Elder Moses Iduh, had told Barr. Esiso, that the campaign was to fulfill all righteousness as the people have enough reasons to vote for the PDP Candidates.

The Deputy Governorship candidate for the party, Chief Monday Onyeme, Senatorial Candidate, Prince Ned Nwoko, House of Representatives candidate, Hon. Victor Nwokolo and the candidate for House of Assembly, Ika South Constituency, Hon. Festus Okoh were received at the rallies with cheers from the people.

Some of those who attended the rallies were the Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ochor Christopher Ochor, Chief Godwill Obielum, Hon. Cosmas Igbenije, and Surveyor Paul Osaji, among others.
