The Committee for the verification of political appointees has rescheduled the dates for screening of political appointees from Ethiope East, Ethiope West, Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie Local Government Areas following the All Progressive Congress (APC) Ward Congress slated for Wednesday, 18th and Thursday, 19th February, 2026.
According to a statement signed by the Secretary of the Committee, Mr Felix Irevwi the rescheduling of the screening of the appointees from the affected LGA’s is to enable them participate in the above-mentioned APC Ward Congress.
The statement further added the rescheduled dates for the screening as follows:
Wednesday, 4th March, 2026
Ethiope East and Ethiope West LGAs
Thursday, 5th March, 2026
Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie LGAs
The statement noted that apart from the above change, the screening schedule contained in the earlier announcement by the Secretary to the State Government and the Verification Committee on 20th and 26th January, 2026 respectively, remain valid.
The committee apologized for the inconveniences that the change may cause the affected appointees.
