DELTA @ 29: We Have A Lot To Celebrate, Says Door-To-Door Group

MEMBERS of Door-to-Door Campaign Group, have said Deltans have a lot to celebrate as the state marks 29 years of creation.

The group in a statement signed by its Chairman, Mr Maxwell Ikpenkpen, the Speaker, Deacon Onomuhara Oke Godwin, the Coordinator, Mr Holy Queetin, and the Woman Leader, Jackson Lillian made available to Newsden, Deltans are celebrating unity.

According to the group, “we are happy that Deltans are more united and more progressive as the state celebrates 29 years of existence.

“As a group, we are supportive of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and within these years, it is a thing of joy that the PDP has controlled the state since 1999.

“We are happy with the progress recorded in the state, especially, since the mantle of leadership fell on members of our party.

“It is worthy to note that our state is more united, the state is more politically stable and our governor, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa is initiating novel approach to the development of our state.

“As a political group, we have no regret for aligning with and working for the PDP.

“Our concern is the joy of Deltans and as we mark 29 years of existence, we are happy that Deltans are more satisfied and comfortable,” the group said.
