CHAIRMAN, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Delta State, Barr. Kingsley Esiso has said candidates of the party in the forthcoming elections are acceptable to most Nigerians.
Barr. Esiso spoke on Tuesday at campaign rallies at Aniocha South and Aniocha North Local Government Areas of Delta State.
According to him, for all the elective positions, the PDP has candidates who are well known to the electorates and expressed confidence that most of the electorates would cast their votes for the umbrella logo.
He said, “I am happy that our Vice-Presidential candidate, our Governor, Senator, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa is attending our rallies with his wife, Edith and all our candidates are also at these rallies with their wives; it shows that our candidates have peaceful homes and are loved by the people.
“I am happy because never again will Nigerians allow APC to enter Aso Rock because we are tired of suffering; there is no electricity, and we cannot afford to buy petrol even when we see where to buy it because it is expensive.
“We are happy with the Atiku-Okowa ticket, it is our ticket; it will make a Deltan to be Vice-President and Nigerians will vote for PDP.
“For Governorship, Deltans have decided to vote for someone who is ready to work for all Deltans, that is, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.
“Sheriff Oborevwori will not concentrate all development in his village, and he will listen to Deltans.”
Some of those who spoke at the venues of the rallies, Issele-Uku and Ogwashi-Uku, Chief Chris Agbobu, Chief Nkem Okwuofu, Chief A.C. Okocha, Engr. Emma Eboh, expressed confidence that the PDP would win the elections, stating that they were working to ensure 100 percent votes for the party.
At the rallies, PDP flags were presented to the candidates of the party.
