THE Executive Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State on Youths Development, Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi, has called on Nigerians to key into the ideals of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Ezechi made the call while addressing an enlarged meeting of the PDP in Ward 4, Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta State.

According to the Executive Assistant, the political situation in the country has shown that only the PDP has the manifesto to better the lives of Nigerians and make the country progressive.

He said, “I am happy that members of our party are meeting regularly at the grassroots level.

“This should be replicated in all parts of the country, and all Nigerians should key into the programmes of the PDP.

“We do not meet because of elections, we meet, because we believe that we should work for our country, our state and our communities to be better.

“Obviously, we can see the good things that our Governor, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa is doing and in all states where members of our party are in charge, things are working because, in our party, it is all about better life for the people.

“The hardship that we are experiencing in the country is as a result of decisions which PDP members cannot control – increase in fuel price, which has led to hike in price of every commodity came as a result of not voting for the PDP.

“Our party was established based on ideals of democracy, letting the people decide their fate, not about winning elections by all means and exercising power without considerations for the feelings of the masses.

“I appreciate our leader, Chief Godwill Obielum, for encouraging us to be having regular meetings at the unit, wards and local government levels; we will continue to meet as a family. ”

Chairman of the party in the Ward, Mr Ibuka Bernard, stated that the meeting which was held in Okpai, home town of Hon. Ezechi, was one in the series of meetings held by the Ward made of Okpai, Utchi, and Beneku.

He stated that members of the party are united and there is no room for opposition political parties in the area.
