A Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr. Hilary Ibegbulem, has urged Christians to always have confidence and call on God for solutions to their challenges.
The Priest made the call on Sunday in a Homily that he delivered at the Catholic Church of the Ascension, Asaba, Delta State.
According to him, God has never failed to manifest Himself when called upon in faith.
“God is ever ready, and He is able to save those who call on Him; call on Him, because, calling on Him is a way of demonstrating our faith and He will save us.
“So, that trouble that you are going through right now, call on the Lord and have faith, do not be afraid because He will help you.
“Our message for today is on ‘Calling upon the Lord:’ when you find yourself in difficult situations, God tells you what to do and He delivers you from trouble.
“We should be aware that at times, it is not the way that we expect that God will show Himself that He will show Himself.
“God is telling us to pay attention to our activities as He still reveals Himself to us; God can show Himself to us in little ways.
“Always focus on Jesus Christ; Peter lost focus when he was walking on the sea and he started sinking, so, he called on God and said, ‘Lord, Save me,’ and Jesus saved him.
“We should have faith in Christ and when we are in trying moments, we should look up to God and call on Him.
“Trouble comes in several ways, in our businesses, in our relationships and when we call on the Lord, He will save us.
