A Catholic Priest,  Rev. Fr. Daniel Ileka, has urged Christians to rely only on the body and blood of Jesus Christ for solution to their problems.

Fr. Ileka made the call on Sunday morning while delivering a homily at the Catholic Church of the Assumption (Zappa), Asaba,  Delta State, Nigeria.

According to him, Jesus Christ came to save the world and all that is required for people is for them not to waver in their belief in Him.

“Jesus went about healing people; they brought this man through the roof and He said, ‘go, your sins are forgiven’; He even saw the dead child of the widow and He said, ‘stop’ and He raised the child from the dead.

“Today is the solemnity of the body and blood of our Lord,  Jesus Christ; with this celebration, the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ will give you freedom.

“If you are a worthy recipient of Him, He will give you freedom; listen, I want to tell you that our Lord, Jesus Christ is the Master Key.

“Many of us are not free today,  many of us are in bondage but, we have to remember that Jesus went about doing good, freeing people from bondage; we should look up to Him, believe in Him.

“Always remember that whenever you encounter Jesus,  He delivers you from bondage.

“Jesus also grants you immortality, with Jesus Christ,  nobody can kill you; no poisonous substance can hurt you; kidnappers will not see you.

“Remember that Jesus will give you salvation; all that is required is for you to believe in Him.

“If you know Jesus Christ and you are consuming His blood and body, you do not need to be afraid,” Fr. Ileka who was assisted by Rev. Fr. Samuel Obioma said.

The celebration of the Holy Mass featured the Churching of Annabel and Christabel<span;, twins of Engr. and Mrs Sebastian Nwose among other events.
