“Death has been subdued by the victory of Christ.”

He observed that Sir Joseph Ogabu who died at the age of 66, was a devout Catholic who was very active in the work of God.

“We have lost a devout Catholic in Sir Ogabu.

“Sir Joe Ogabu loved God and God knew that Sir Ogabu loved Him.

“Sir Ogabu can be likened to Peter in the Bible, he was a very compassionate Christian; Sir Ogabu had time for God.

“He has done his part; he has completed his race and has gone back to where he came from.

“The salvation is for those who believes in Him because He said, ‘believe in me, do not allow your hearts be troubled.’

“We are here to pray for the happy repose of his soul.

“We commend him into the hands of God. Amen.”

The remains of Sir Ogabu, a Knight of St. Mulumba, would be interred on Friday at his home town, Ezi in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State.
