The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, FCA, has said that Deltans will vote for candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, because they are reliable and popular.

Onyeme dropped the hint on Friday while speaking at the rallies of PDP at Etua, Ward 2 and Ndemili, Ward 3, Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta State.

“As you are all aware, it is only our party, the PDP that is fielding the people that you know, popular, credible and reliable people, your sons and daughters for the elections, this is why you will vote for only the PDP.”

He specifically, called for 100 percent votes for the Chairmanship candidate of the party in the locality, Chief Obi Nzete, noting that his excellent performance in his first tenure in office has made it such that he will do more with his re-election.

He said, “we know Obi Nzete, he did so much in his first tenure, so, he will do more, expect more and with Nzete, you will get more, abi nor be so? (there was a chorus of ‘na soooo.’)”

The Chairman of the party in the area, Ogbuefi Lucky Okuji, expressed joy that with an Ndokwa son as Deputy Governor of Delta State in the person of Sir Monday Onyeme, the fortunes of the party has increased, asserting that the party would get 100 percent votes.

Some of those who spoke at the occasion include Barr. Sam Osasa, Chief Festus Ochonogor, among others thanked the people of Ndokwa West and Deltans in general for believing in PDP.
