“It is a public service lecture, and as such, the public suggests names of likely persons to be the keynote speaker, likely topics for discussion, and also come out in their large numbers to participate actively at the lecture which holds every Wednesday before Easter Sunday.

“As we prepare to announce the name of the keynote speaker and the topic for discussion, we appeal to the public to understand that only one person will be chosen to deliver the keynote address and three topics would be given to him or her out of which he or she will choose one topic that will be most suitable for him or her to speak on.

“We thank the public for making Maris Annual Public Service lecture series the most attended public service lecture in this part of the world, we pray that this year’s lecture will again set the agenda for humanity and also proffer solutions to identified challenges of the society at the lecture billed to hold, by the grace of God, on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 12 noon prompt.”

It would be recalled that on Friday, December 20, 2024, the public was invited to nominate potential keynote speakers and topics for this year’s lecture. By the close of nominations on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, eighteen distinguished Nigerians were suggested to deliver the Keynote Address.
